If you have the iPhone 6s, you may be asking yourself if it is worth it to upgrade to the iPhone 7. The water resistant and headphone jack-less iPhone 7 with its stereo speakers and much better cameras. Is it worth it to trade in your 2015 phone for a 2016 phone? Not really.
Not really? That is correct and it may surprise since society advocates for the latest and greatest tech, but the iPhone 7 is so much like the iPhone 6s that it not worth the upgrade. The phones are basically the same. The only differences were presented above. The iPhone 7 does not have a headphone jack (hope you do not lose your special adapter), it is water resistant, it has stereo speakers, and the front camera has been upgraded. They are so close in specs that their differences are minimal. The main difference between the two phones is the price. The iPhone 7 is $120 more than the iPhone 6s. Is the missing headphone jack, extra water resistance, stereo speakers, and front camera really worth $120? You could actually save money by trading in your iPhone 6s for another iPhone 6s since the price is lower than what you bought your phone at and the storage capacities have increased.
Plus, there is a new iPhone coming out in September. Why upgrade to the 2016 model when you can get the 2017 model in eight months?
